The Mantua Enterprise for Community, Culture, and Artistry (MECCA) is a home-grown engine of transformation. A mutually-beneficial partnership with residents for neighborhood activation, revitalization, and economic development. Rooted in the lived experience of Mantua residents and learnings from Black artists in dance, MECCA uses the arts as a vehicle for workforce development, scholarship access, disrupting cycles of incarceration or addiction, and greater possibility, yet to be imagined.
We are a community development corporation, with a mission to empower all Mantuans with the skills and resources we need to invigorate community culture and change the conditions of our environment.
MECCA is where Black art meets radical love, where our shared past, present, and future is expressed as neighborhood pride.
